Having a matric certificate increases your earning potential over not having Grade 12. 
But, adding a scarce skill to the mix, even without a matric certificate, elevates your earning ability by more than double.

Auxano Chef School is an accredited training Culinary Arts and Hospitality Training Institute based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. We equip our learners to operate as a Chef in hotels, restaurants, and catering (HORECA) establishments. Learning is designed with integration into the industry, exposing learners to a variety of kitchens, head chefs, management types and food styles.

Our facility:
The Chef's emporium and Bahia Bleu Restaurant & Lounge at the Diaz Hotel & Resort is an all in one training facility that provides students with industry standard practical and workplace experience and lecture rooms for their theoretical modules.

Experential Learning:
We equip you with the theoretical knowledge and practical, hand-on skills, methods and techniques in a safe environment to confidently make the most of your culinary talents and career in a professional restaurant. 

The course structure:
The course is structured so that learners get hands-on experience daily and are encouraged to be creative and experiment during their practical session.

Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts -
is known as the cuisine arts of food preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.

We teach you the fundamentals of classic and contemporary culinary art techniques as well as global cuisines.

You will be prepared and skilled in a competitive local and international world of fine food.

         Purpose

Candidate Chefs 
are placed with and monitored by experienced chefs trained as industry coaches. 

These Candidate Chefs gain invaluable workplace experience through these practical placements. 

This will ensure our Candidate Chef's readiness for employment upon completion of the course.

Auxano Training Institute was established in May 2006 and has a long legacy in various training ventures.
 
Through the years we realised that these learners might have theoretical knowledge, but lack the integration of practical and experiential skills and passion in the industry.
 
Our heart is not only to teach you culinary techniques and skills to make a living off, but we are passionate to see you embracing a life-long purpose in what you are passionate about.

Our passion, know-how and industry expertise are a custom-made pairing with the all-in-one training facility in line with QCTO requirements with the Bahia Bleu Restaurant, Chef's Emporuim at Diaz Hotel & Resort in Mossel Bay.
